I have about 60+ projects that I’m working on in Codex. In Claude Code, I can order projects alphabetically, which makes it easier to find the right project. In Codex, the only options out of the box are either “Last updated” or “Manual order”, but who’s gonna drag and drop all those around? What I really want is alphabetical order.
So I opened a new Codex chat, Luna Light (cause why not), and told it:
“i would like codex desktop app to order my projects in alphabetical order”
And guess what? It did it!
If you too are spending too much time scrolling around the left sidebar in the Codex desktop app, just tell Codex to sort your projects alphabetically in the sidebar.
